Consultation
At the beginning of the appointment, the doctor will examine the patient and clarify possible contraindications to the procedure.
Piercing is not recommended in the following cases:
- infectious diseases and dermatitis in the planned piercing area;
- a recent infectious disease (not less than 2 weeks);
- feeling unwell on the day of the procedure;
- poor healing of scars;
- blood clotting disorders;
- weakened immunity;
- tendency to keloid scars.
Important note:
Based on his experience, as well as taking into account the psychological and physiological factors of child development, the doctor performs ear piercing on children aged 5 and over.
Piercing points
The next stage of the procedure is the determination of piercing points.
In Eastern medicine, the ear is considered a powerful acupuncture system, which is closely related to the functioning of internal organs. There are several methods of treatment with acupuncture methods, acting on certain points in the auricle.
Approximately in the place where the earring looks most beautiful, there is a point that is “responsible” for myopia, glaucoma and conjunctivitis. Therefore, if a person, especially a child, already has vision problems or there is a serious hereditary predisposition, choosing the “right” piercing point becomes especially important.
Dr. Radchenko uses a special device and computer program to determine piercing points.
After tuning the device to an individual level of electrical conductivity, resistance measurements are taken of different skin areas.
One wire of the device leads to a brass cylinder that the patient holds in his hand. The second wire is connected to a probe with which the doctor touches the patient's earlobe. At biologically active points, the skin has lower resistance and higher electrical conductivity (this is an absolutely safe and painless method).
The program records changes, helping the doctor determine the piercing points.
The doctor marks the place where the earrings are inserted with a sterile felt-tip pen, and later you will have the opportunity to look at them before piercing.
Important note:
Sometimes it happens that the doctor is unable to find a suitable piercing point, in which case he may refuse to perform the procedure.
Piercing procedure
The ear piercing procedure itself is quick, safe and practically painless. The procedure is performed with a STUDEX “gun”, which is designed for piercing ears with special earrings.
Ear piercing needles for earlobe piercing are made of special surgical steel and are sterilely packaged. The diameter of the earring needle is 0.9 mm, it has a special sharpening. Thanks to the unique design of the earring needles, in fact, there is no piercing, but tissue pushing, which practically eliminates the risk of trauma and makes the procedure almost painless
The closure of the earring needle clasp completely eliminates compression of the earlobe. Accordingly, the healing process proceeds without problems.
Children tend to have allergies to metals, which parents may not know about, so earring needles are made only from hypoallergenic materials. Medical steel and titanium are used as the basis. Both of these materials are durable, safe, widely used in medicine and do not cause allergies. For those who do not like the silvery tone of steel and titanium, gold-plated earrings are offered.
Considering that these jewelry are intended for a certain period of time, artificial and synthetic stones of various colors are used as decorative elements in the earring-needles. To exclude the possibility of the patient's hair getting caught in the earring and causing pain, the doctor uses classic-style jewelry with carefully embedded stones.

Ear care
Ear care after piercing Dr. Radchenko will definitely tell you. After ear piercing, the earring needles remain in the earlobes for 4-6 weeks, until a smooth and correct canal is formed.
Main recommendations:
1. Treat the piercing site with salicylic alcohol or herbal alcohol tinctures, such as calendula tincture, several times a day.
2. If the piercing site is inflamed and reddened, as well as unpleasant, painful sensations, in addition to daily care, before treating the piercing site with an alcohol solution, it should be treated with hydrogen peroxide.
3. If unpleasant symptoms do not go away, you should seek advice from Dr. Radchenko.
4. In the first week after the piercing, avoid contact of the wound with water; it is not recommended to swim in open water bodies and pools for about a month.
5. It is not recommended to remove the earrings until the piercing site is completely healed to prevent infections from entering the body.
6. Comb your hair as gently as possible, carefully pull on hats, sweaters and other clothing that is pulled over the head so as not to accidentally injure the piercing site.
7. It is also not recommended to use other people's phones until the wound is completely healed.
Important note:
The earrings should not be removed for the first 2-3 months. The ear piercing site heals within 1-3 months.
